Born in 1997, Margot Zoé develops a sensitive, contemporary jazz shaped by her dual grounding in classical piano and vocal jazz. She earned her Vocal Jazz DEM in 2022 after studying at the Metz Conservatory under Valérie Graschaire and Pierre-Alain Goualch. Inspired by nature, painting, and literature, she forges a distinctive writing style where classical, folk, and modern influences meet, following in the footsteps of Brad Mehldau, Esperanza Spalding, and Jan Garbarek. Surrounded by close musical collaborators, she now shares music that is both accessible and profound, carried by a unique voice and a radiant stage presence.
Her debut album, ELEVATION — to be released on December 5, 2025 — is a musical adaptation of the cult novel Watership Down (over 50 million copies sold worldwide). This project explores the quest for freedom, the power of nature, and the instinct for survival through original compositions and two poems from the book set to music for the first time. With ELEVATION, Margot Zoé offers a poetic and contemporary reinterpretation of the work, inviting listeners on an intimate journey where modern jazz, classical heritage, and folk influences blend within a style open to improvisation and emotion.
