Passionate about music for as long as she can remember, Margot was accompanied in her early melodies by her father, a piano teacher. Born in 1997, she was enriched by her parents' listening to a wide range of musical genres (mentioned above in Musical influences). She has been composing her own songs and writing poetry since the age of 12. Close to nature and animals, she finds particular inspiration there, as well as in reading and painting.
At 16, she obtained her CEM (certificat d'études musicales) in classical piano at the Conservatoire de Thionville, alongside vocal jazz training at the same place, followed by private jazz piano/vocal jazz lessons with Viviane Moscatelli, professor at the Conservatoire de Luxembourg.
In 2015, she continued her studies at the Conservatoire de Metz, accompanied by Valérie Graschaire and Pierre-Alain Goualch until she obtained her DEM (diplôme d'études musicales) in vocal jazz in 2022. Margot also practiced Trumpet for 2 years at the Thionville conservatory.
Margot's versatility means she can adapt to any style of music. She demonstrated that while playing with Worst DNA (alt rock), Sun'sitive (jazz fusion) and Le Collectif Fensch Connexions (free improvisation). As a soloist, she offers original arrangements of well-known songs (rock/pop/French variety) as well as jazz standards, playing piano while singing with a touching, percussive style. Within her own band, she devotes herself to singing and writing her own compositions.
Since 2015, Margot has been teaching her passion, substitute piano teacher and accompanist at the Thionville conservatory several times as well as piano and singing teacher at a private school in Luxembourg. She then opened her Swanee Musek school in 2019 and has been self-employed in Luxembourg ever since.
