Inspired by Richard Adams' work 'Watership Down,' Margot introduces her quartet COSMOS. This composition project blends modern jazz, classical writing, and Celtic folk harmonies. A fusion that characterizes Margot's eclectic musical style, her voice capable of being lyrical with a jazz tint or resonating in the manner of traditional singers.
She also brings a particular focus to the placement of each musician in the group, balancing written passages with freely improvised moments, thus giving each member the opportunity to express their musical personality. The music of this project, accessible to the general public, is also intriguing for connoisseurs who will appreciate the compositional work.
Through Richard Adams' story recounting how a group of rabbits flees to save their lives in a World of a Thousand Enemies, there is a distinct echo of Margot's own life story : her quest for freedom through music. Inspired by Fiver, one of the main character, she found a special resonance to her intuitions, her dreams and way to see things. She found special meaning that inspired her lyrics directly.
Here, the rabbit symbolizes intuition. An intuition that drives one to flee for a better life.

MUSICIANS
Introduced to music at a very early age by his percussionist father, and after a brief stint on classical guitar, Yacine Belmahi turned to electric bass to satisfy his desire for vibrations. Self-taught for a long time, and eager to practice collective improvisations, it was at the age of 26 that he turned to the Conservatoire de la ville de Luxembourg, from which he graduated 3 years later with 1st prize in his pocket.
In addition to his musical training, he soon developed a passion for recording techniques, sound manipulation and phonographic production. At the same time, he began making and mixing albums on a regular basis.
He can be found in a number of groups in the Grand Est region, including SESAM, A Far Off Reason, L'ensemble Moussafir, Bat Edéaz, and the Fensch Connexions collective.
Introduced to music at the age of 6 with percussion, Mathis' final choice was the piano. By the age of 14, he had already developed an interest in film music, and began his musical training in a TMD class at the Lycée Fabert in Metz. Discovering jazz and its derivatives, he entered the Metz CRR in 2016 to train with Frédéric Sarfati and Pierre-Alain Goualch. He obtained his diploma (DEM) in 2021, and now wishes to bring a young and fresh touch to jazz. He plays his own compositions in the Cactus 4tet.
Influenced by Brad Mehldau, Michel Petrucciani, Esbjörn Svensson and others, he draws his inspiration from eclectic music, adding his own expressive compositions. To explore these new fields, he is part of several projects such as SESAM and Odyssée, veritable laboratories of exploration, where he brings his versatility to bear on the piano and synthesizer.
Born into a family of musicians, OG spent his youth listening to Beethoven, Elgar, Stravinsky, Coltrane, Bruckner, Elvin Jones, Tony Williams and Christian Vander, among others.
